One of my favorite children's book is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. I really enjoy sharing this book with my students. There is so much you can do with this book from introducing letters, rhyming, rhythm, movement, emotions, and you can even use it as an observation tool.
Here is a great link I use:

I love this book also because it helps the children with alphabet recognition and the spelling of their name. I did an activity last year on this book. I gave each child a coconut tree and some foam letters and they had to glue the letters in their name down the tree.

DeleteThanks for the link to Chicka Chicka Boom Boom it will come in handy since it is a classroom favorite. The children begin to work in groups to find the letters that go on our Chicka Chicka Boom Boom tree.
